1951-2021

With great sadness, we announce the sudden loss of our beloved mediator, friend and colleague, Ted Deckert. On Wednesday, November 17, 2021, Ted moved on from this world due to a heart attack at his home. He was a loyal member of the Matrix family since the beginning in 2007 and an active member of the Florida Bar since 1976 – more than 45 years. Our hearts are heavy with grief, and our thoughts are with his beautiful wife Marie and his children whom Ted loved dearly. He will be remembered as a having a bright, generous, and kind spirit. Ted was very active in the legal community and The Lord’s Place, a local organization he loved and worked with for nearly 20 years. Ted loved helping others, both through the Lord’s Place, the Palm Beach County Bar Association and his mediation practice, and passionately mediated every case to help people find real solutions.  He was one of the most sought-after mediators in the area.

It’s not often that life brings us someone as special as Ted and we feel fortunate to have had him as part of our Matrix Family.
